Background of the Exhibition

Malaysia is a country with a population of multiple races and religions. Every race and religion has its own celebration. For the Malays who are Muslims, they celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri. Hari Raya Aidilfitri is an important festival and is celebrated especially by all Muslims regardless of rank after fasting for a month in the month of Ramadan. Hari Raya Aidilfitri is a special celebration because it marks the victory of Muslims fasting, refraining from eating and drinking and doing bad things that can invalidate the fast. In Malaysia, there are various interesting traditions performed especially to welcome the arrival of Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
